Prayer as a Portal to Another Dimension

When we enter prayer, salat/namaz we are entering a portal to a 'place' beyond the limitations of the physical world. Our physical bodies may be here, but our deeper self transcends to a reality that is not bound by physical laws, time, or space. In this dimension, spiritual truths and divine realities become accessible, offering a deeper understanding of existence.

In Sufi thought, prayer can lead to fana, the annihilation of the self. In this state, the self is dissolved, transcending the boundaries of the physical world.
