Bismillah Babe candles are inspired by Rumi’s poetry, the essence of Ramadan, and the secrets within the soul of Islamic mysticism. Our candles are intended to be used in your favorite practice- illuminate the soul, regulate the nervous system, connect with Divine presence.

The Ruh candle by Bismillah Babe evokes the metaphysical realms of our inner dimension. The role of the ruh is part of a dynamic relationship central to Islamic spirituality. In this framework, the ruh is the eternal connection to the divine, the qalb is the seat of perception and reflection, and the nafs navigates between worldly desires and higher consciousness.  As Rumi wrote, "My soul and yours have always been as one." This candle is a reminder that the soul is constantly longing for Divine union.

Bismillah Babe develops home fragrances illuminating the intersection of mysticism and science. Inspired by the Sufi poet, Rumi, our fragrances are an ode to Divine order. Our ancestral traditions have long utilized the power of scent to "shift states", purify, and enhance. In fact, only in recent years has neuroscience caught up to ancient wisdom-confirming that the olfactory nerve being the shortest sensory nerve in your body & part of your autonomic nervous system-regulates unconscious processes such as breathing and your heart beating. As such, we believe scents & the sense of scent are a sacred portal to the dimensions within us and around us.

~60 hour candle burn time. 100% soy (no gunk!), created in small batches in the USA. Hand poured with zinc-free cotton wick. All scents are formulated without organ or acute toxins, phthalates, and ingredients on the California Prop 65 list. Steel vessels may be resued for decor. Always trim wicks to ¼ inch height before use. Never burn for more than 3 hours at a time. Steel vessels will be extremly hot. Never leave candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and things that catch fire.Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn candle on a level, fire-resistant surface. Stop use when only 1/4" of wax remains.
